I haven't hung sheets out in a long, long time. Our mountain weather just doesn't cooperate! But, my childhood sheets, fresh from the line, are one of my happiest sensory memories. To lie in all that freshness was so comforting. As for changing them 2X a day - my husband and I have trouble remembering when we changed them and if it's time again...Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04984171407726520584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179072149199219335.post-43909439001326299472010-12-31T14:43:45.465-05:002010-12-31T14:43:45.465-05:00Your getting poles? There is nothing better that clean sheets and a warm bed on a cold morning when I don't have to get up.#1Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04214011945298439939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179072149199219335.post-86071934153984281062010-12-31T13:56:28.982-05:002010-12-31T13:56:28.982-05:00Bernie, I knew you had to be thinking of fresh she...Bernie, I knew you had to be thinking of fresh sheets, too! I do know what you mean about thinking you are/were different. We're all different, which is why these universal pleasures are such unifying things.

LydiaO, I'd pay somebody to put away the clean laundry, but I like washing it. I don't see dust, somehow, so it doesn't bother me . . . as much as it does other people . . . Husband, say...

Carson, that's the word. The bed is "tight." Perfect. Thank you. And Happy New Year to you and all the critters, too.

S&S, every day? :-o You do that every day? Can I come live with you? I'll strip the beds and wash 'em and hang 'em out. You can put the sheets back on. 'Kay?

Mac n' Janet, I agree with Andy Rooney, who said three things should be white: towels, underwear, and sheets. (I've sort of departed from that philosophy in regard to underwear in recent years.)

Autumn Mist, I'm glad you found your way here, too! Wouldn't fresh flowers all the time be just . . . NICE???

Carrie Lynne, those memories sound like truly golden ones! I often trap my cat underneath the fitted sheet . . . she won't MOVE until all four corners are on and she has to tunnel like a mole out the side. One of my coworkers took note of my midsummer wish for a clothesline and actually gave me a length of line for Christmas. Now I just need the poles!Junehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11710135137635433217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179072149199219335.post-66771432251066617652010-12-31T12:02:48.040-05:002010-12-31T12:02:48.040-05:00One of my best memories of changing sheets has to ...One of my best memories of changing sheets has to do with my children and grandkids. I love how they would jump on the bed under the sheets as I was trying to make the bed. My little "bedbugs" and I would end up rolling around and making sheet tents. Sheets fresh off a close line smelling of clean air and warm from the sunshine are the best.I think I need to go and install a close line now. Thanks for taking me back in time when life was more simple.Carrie Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08614716651049561717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179072149199219335.post-20705257486191423572010-12-31T11:40:36.247-05:002010-12-31T11:40:36.247-05:00Nancy Astor had fresh flowers in every single room...Nancy Astor had fresh flowers in every single room every single day. I am glad that that you thought of it. It too is such a universal sentiment. Isn't it cool to find out that other people like and do the same things you do? It is for me. I guess I always thought I was so different because I was brought up to not being able to do what others did and so I felt I was the only one who felt about certain things like I did. Does that make sense to you?

Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog again.Berniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10189300487828240620noreply@blogger.com
