May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and
until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and
until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

It just means rowdy drunkenness round here nowadays, but when I was at school, our nuns made a big deal of St Patrick's Day - and we got cake at teatime. "Hail glorious Saint Patrick" indeed!
I've never met a Patrick I didn't like ..... so I'll second that !
Happy St Pat's to you also. My maternal grandfather was a Mc Clain and there are many other Irish and Scots in my lineage.
And the same to you! Are you Irish?
Like just about everybody in the northeast, I'm a little bit Irish, Barb. :-)
And on St. Paddy's Day, everybody's Irish!
And a Happy Celtic Appreciation Day to you, too, oh gem of a colleen!
