Sunday Stills: Potluck

Woodshed
Husband has begun woodworking, and in admiring his work I've begun to notice the patterns in different pieces of wood.
Even in our firewood.

The first shot is my favourite - the pattern of the wood repeated over and over.

Great shots. Very nice composition. :)

What type of woodworking? My hubby is a woodturner. Lots of wood around here as well. :)

Very nice...and when I see firewood I see cozy winter nights and days.

I appreciate hubby's wood stacking skills. I can appreciate the order of it all. I'm glad you captured it.

Nice shots. Like the first one best. I think it would make a great photo to hang on the wall of a cabin.

I look at stones the same way.
It must have taken him awhile to get all that chopped.

Thanks, all.
Husband did not chop all that. Nor did he fell the trees, nor split the logs.
It did, however, take a while to make the money to pay for all that to be done . . . by somebody else. ;-P

When we first moved to the Pacific Northwest 30 years ago, we had a woodstove installed in our house. We'd either fell a tree in a forest or have the rounds delivered to our house. I used to help split the wood. I was much younger then!
