Two little kings...

...roaming their kingdom.

Random info:
The white post has something to do with the leach field. Husband has it marked so things don't get run over and crushed.
The tiny white spot directly above little black Angus in the first picture is one of the beehives, way way down in the corner of the field. The honeybees are very active this summer. I've discovered The Best Way to capture the ones that wander inside the house: a 7" sieve with a handle, used like a butterfly net without all the billowing.

Your part of the world is so lovely June! The handsome kings have a beautiful kingdom.

Lucky you having beehives. Yum. :)

Oh, good for you for keeping a beehive. The bees are in trouble and are absolutely essential for life so they need our help. I live in an apartment and wonder how our neighbors might react to a beehive on our balcony!
The WV is: deehed as in "goohed deehed"!

perfect country housewife advice!

Like Grandmother said, I'd love to have a beehive but don't think I would endear myself with the neighbors.
Beautiful land.

what is a 'leach field'?

how lush and green it all is.

Friko, all you ever wanted (or didn't want to) know about leach fields is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Septic_drain_field

We don't do anything with the hives. We don't take the honey or anything. We did one year but decided just to let the bees have it. So they're sort of our tenants. Or the other way around.
