Being sure

How fortunate are some people to be sure.

Some people know just what they think about everything.
All the time.
Their opinions never change.
They are sure.
They know that this political viewpoint, this diet, this way to dress, this way to spend money, this way to worship, is The Correct Way.
Other dissimilar ideas are not only incorrect, but at best, benighted, and at worst, evil.

It must be a comfort to go to bed at night and never question anything you've said or done all day.
I wouldn't know: I keep taking in and evaluating that pesky New Information instead of dismissing it as lies.

If I am ever "sure", I've found out later that I was mistaken. Not wrong, just mistaken! Ha-ha.

You are my kind of woman June!!! A free-thinker, who allows herself to question what she hears and her own conclusions. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we all did that?!!! But, then again, I'm not totally sure about that - because sometimes we do need to hold fast to our values and opinions. Guess I'll just have to take it as it comes!
