That looks quite dark for 7. Are you feeling autumn chill already? I think summer's going to be early for us this year.

I didn't feel the autumn chill just yet... yesterday it got to the low eighties and then clouded up. It's sixty degrees here at 5:30 in the morning. But tomorrow will be another story. I love fall, it's my favorite time of the year. :-)

What a wonderful view to wake up to...

It certainly looks like a September morning.

GLP, the sun had just begun to peep over the ridge of the eastern hill. See the top of the tree in the first picture? And of course there was the mist...

DJan, no chill really. A little coolness, which felt good and got me out the door to walk, thinking that a little building up of sweat might be just the thing dontchaknow.

Rian, actually, that isn't the view that I wake up to. That's out the front door. I'll take some photos of the view I wake up to and post them one of these days.

Olga, yes. The good part of September. Before the rains and the taste of frost in the air.

So lovely, such beautiful deep vibrant colours there........thank you for posting such a evocative photo, nice to know what others see in another part of the world. I love big skies!

Pretty. It looks so peaceful. There are a few rewards for getting up at the crack of dawn, aren't there?

Oh a misty morning - how lovely! And there's your road you walk! Now we need another photo - later in the day (to compare of course) Gosh we're a demanding lot. :)

A few corrections, in the interest of full disclosure. I was not yet walking at the time. I was standing on the front porch, two feet from the front door. That's my driveway.
It took me another two hours to get out and walk, but I took a route I have taken only once before in my life and it took an hour and a half, so I've been A Good Girl.

Serene beauty -- thank you!

Even the trees
lean into this sunrise,
the mist lifts from the road,
two paths beckon
and morning begins.

Keep taking these lovely pictures, June.

So glad you're still walking. This is the kind of day I like to walk into - the mist is wonderful in the photo. I almost feel a bit of chill in the air.
