1/1/2013

Angus the poodle, Husband and I will be welcoming the New Year by sleeping, unless one of us needs a trip to the small room at that exact moment. I'm excessively pleased to have the day off from work tomorrow. It's one of the few holidays with no obligations of any kind. I must say that last week and this week are confusing me beyond repair. Half a day off followed by a whole day off followed by two days of work separated by a snow day when I couldn't get to work followed by a regular weekend; repeat.
As I left the office at noon today, I said to Jane, "Tomorrow's Saturday, right?"
"No," she said. "Tomorrow's . . . Sunday."
"Oh, well then," I said. "I'll see you the day after tomorrow."
"Thaaaaat's riiiight," she said.

It was worth a try.

Happy New Year to you, too! May many blessing be yours. I'm going to bed early tonight, too, because I have to volunteer at a hospice home starting at 6am tomorrow. But the city will be setting off fireworks a block from my house, so I'm sure I will be made aware when midnight strikes.

I'm going to bed early because I want to read my book.
All I can say is I'm glad all these holidays are finally over so that I can get my structure back. Too much chaos lately.

Happy New Year!!!

I wish I could go to bed early tonight, but my 12-year-old granddaughters are visiting, and we have a four-year-old tradition of waking the neighbors at midnight with our horns.

Happy new year!

Isn't it 2013 there yet? More than half of Jan 1 is gone here. Beautiful day so far. I fell asleep just after 8pm last night despite intentions to see the forewords in Brisbane (on telly) and share a slice of caramel mud cake with my brother. Best laid plans.

Happy new year June, husband and Angus X

Today felt like a Friday all day, which is very disconcerting for a Monday.
Happy New Year!
(not sure I can last much longer before zzzzzzz)

I lovingly typed my Best Wishes for 2013 for you into your comment box .... and it vanished .

Happy New Year June - like you, I slept as the old year dwindled though I did wake momentarily as the clock changed from 12 to 12:01. The dawn is beautiful. I hope the new year will be likewise for us all.

That is a beautiful sentiment.

I will admit that after reading about your time and day confusion I checked to see if your title had the correct date.

Have a nice rest on your day off and best wishes for the new year to you and yours.

I remember that confusing time when I was working. Now it's much easier: I don't have any workplace to get to, it's all right here! Happy New Year to you! :-)

Happy New Year, June! We can only go up from here, right? Expecting good things in the year ahead and happy to making the trip with you.

Here's to another year, preferably happy, healthy, loved and loving, with no frights or alarms, no sudden losses, and lots of fun.

Happy New Year! I sat in the hot tub and watched the fireworks at midnight...quiet and sober. The good thing about getting older is that my partying doesn't leave me with a hangover.

Earlier today I knew it was the second day into January...but wasn't too sure which day of the week it was. That's been happening a lot lately!

Did you know? It’s back to work properly now, I hope you haven’t missed it?

May the new year be less confusing.
