In the absence of flora, I shall enjoy these fauna blossoms.

I saw the top one and thought you were being crafty with bell peppers . I won't tell you how many I looked at before the penny dropped .
But seriously , still no flowers ? Even we now have the odd small yellow star-shaped thing . A weed , I think , but very cheery .

At first, I questioned what does she mean "fauna blossoms"...Then that first photo made me do a double take...finally...I really "saw" what I was seeing! Incredible is right!

I have seen these before and they never cease to amaze me. Thanks for the reminder!

i saw some crocuses today and I almost danced in the street with glee.

Still no flowers, S&S.
Right this minute, the temperature is 40ºF, and "feels like 31," which to you is -0.555555ºC.

In case you missed it, there's a "-" in front of that 0.555555ºC.

Ok, now I feel a bit like odd man out, as these pictures give me the willies. But that's just me. Oh, and by the way, my word verification said "truckin'". How cool is that?

Amazing! Where did you find these? I'm happy to report that I have found THREE wildflowers already in Saratoga County: Skunk Cabbage, Hazelnut, and Coltsfoot. The floral season is delayed, but boy will it burst forth when we finally get some warmth.

Absolutely amazing photos!

Somebody sent them to me in an email. I went to the website that's watermarked on the pictures and it's an Iranian something or other.
I closed it and just . . . left.

I like that these photos shake up my perceptions and make me look at things differently.

They are very, very clever.

Wow.. these are amazing. It took me a few until I realized what I was actually seeing.

Glad you liked them. I knew you would. You're kinda edgy in the best possible way.

Sometimes I'm kinda edgy in the worst possible way...

Good grief, it took me ages to work out the first photo but from then on I was just breathless.

Gol - ly, who on earth designed that?

The artist is Cecilia Webber.
This is her web page:

And even then....with class and finesse.

Obviously, my brain had to switch gears a bit when I started looking through these photos. The artist's creativity is amazing. Those are the only flowers I'll see tonight - big snow here...

Wild! I had to do a double take on that first one. Crazy.
