When my husband first said things like that I asked him if he thought his Mother would come over and cook for us.

I laughed out loud at this. Before 10 a.m. Amazing!
Unfortunately my MIL could cook three star meals , made wonderful kites for little boys and had travelled the length of Africa in a Land Rover .
If Husband had ever started to compare us , I have a feeling that a slap or two wouldn't have worked !
Good lord if there's e.v.e.r. another one - I'm doin' it! Oh yes I am. LOL
