There is magic in long-distance friendships.
They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes
beyond being physically together and is often more profound.

Diana Cortes's quote is exactly how I have been feeling, after developing such endearing friendships while blogging.
It is impossible to measure the distance from point A to point B with heart-strings. Nor is it within a human's ability to gauge their strength. There is no chasm of time or space between friends that words cannot bridge.
Wise words indeed from you all.
I couldn't agree more.
Yes, June, I have been pondering this feeling of closeness with people I have never met except through Blogging. Somehow, I share something special with several of them, different from and sometimes more honest than I do with the actual friends I see day to day. It is a mystery, and I'm glad to experience it.
Very good post with some wisdom too. I like the painting.
Love the painting. I believe in the fact that friends one makes through blogging are indeed precious. It is a wonderful thing. For someone like me who has moved a lot and is older, one does not have a whole squadron of friends around nearby.
